Description of Service

Skip is a video knowledge management platform that allows you to:

• Import and process videos from YouTube, Loom, and Fathom
• Generate AI-powered summaries and transcripts
• Search and chat with your video knowledge base
• Discover creators based on your learning interests

User Accounts

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service.

Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Upload malicious content or attempt to hack the system
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
• Use automated systems to abuse the Service (excessive scraping, etc.)
• Harass, abuse, or harm others

Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you import or create using the Service. By using Skip, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.

Video Content

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process any videos you import. Skip processes publicly available video content for personal knowledge management. We do not claim ownership of any video content.

Our Content

The Service, including its design, features, and code, is owned by Skip and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer the Service.

Subscriptions and Payments

Free Plan

We offer a free plan with limited features. Free plans may be modified or discontinued at our discretion.

Paid Plans

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Prices may change with 30 days notice
• You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the billing period

Refunds

We generally do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods. However, if you're unsatisfied within the first 7 days of a new subscription, contact us and we'll work with you to make it right.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

• Perform maintenance with or without notice
• Modify or discontinue features
• Experience downtime due to factors beyond our control

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated content

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you:

• Breach these Terms of Service
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse the Service or other users

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Skip and its team from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
